Elizabeth continued
to unpack the boxes in her new place. She had moved back to Orlando a few
months after her and Justin got back together.
The two lovebirds had spent a month
in Miami together, getting to know each other better, and just spending time
alone.
The small apartment may be small, but
it was just Elizabeth's size. There was one bedroom, which had a queen size
bed, a desk, a few lamps and a television. There was a kitchen, 2 bathrooms,
a medium size living room with one sofa, 2 chairs. The living room also had
the TV, a VCR, and a huge stereo.
Justin had promised to stop by at two
in the afternoon to help since he had the day off. Him and the guys would
be leaving in two weeks to start their European tour. He planned to spend
those last few weeks with Elizabeth.
It was just after two when Justin showed
up. Elizabeth was unpacking clothes in the bedroom and didn't hear the knocking
on the door for a while. After knocking at least 20 times, Justin told the
door who he was.
Elizabeth heard him, and ran from the
bedroom, through the hall, and opened the door.
“Sorry about that, I was in the bedroom,”
she said, closing the door after he walked in.
He didn't care. He pulled her into
his arms and hugged her. “That's okay, I only knocked 20 times,” he said,
“or something like that.”
“At least I let you in!” Elizabeth
said, punching his stomach playfully.
“I'm glad you did.” He grinned, following
her into the living room. Justin had been there a few times before, but hadn't
seen her new additions to the apartment. “Lovely.”
“You like it?” she asked, following
his gaze to the newly added loveseat that was white with flowers, and the
blue lamp in the corner.
“I love it,” Justin said, looking around.
“But I don't love it as much as I love you.”
She just looked at him, no words coming
out of her mouth.
He kissed the tip of her nose. “Come
on, let's go and get you unpacked.”
Elizabeth took Justin's hand that he
extended, and followed him to the bedroom. He sat on the bed, pretending
he didn't intend on helping.
“Gee thanks,” she said, going back
to unpacking her bag of clothes.
“What?” he asked innocently, but not
able to hide his grin. He got off the bed and started to help her unpack.
After they unpacked all of Elizabeth's
things, they went into the living room and sat on the loveseat.
“You want a drink?” she asked him.
Justin laughed and grabbed her wrist
before she could get up. “We just sat down, let's just enjoy this time alone.”
“I just figured you'd be thirsty,”
she said, sitting back comfortably on the sofa.
“Me? You're the one that was carrying
all of those heavy boxes,” he said. “Do you want one?”
“I'm not thirsty, besides that's beside
the point.”
“Then what's the point?” he asked,
knowing he was irritating her, and he enjoyed it. He tried not to smirk,
but he ended up doing it anyway.
“It's not funny!” But she laughed anyway.
“I think it is, and so do you,” Justin
said, laughing along with her. He reached behind the couch and put his arm
around her. “You know you're cute when I irritate you.”
“You irritate me all the time,” she
mumbled.
“I know, that's the fun of being with
me.” He smirked.
“Fun?” She tickled him in the side.
“Being with you is like…”
“Well?”
“Being with you brings me a whole bunch
of surprises,” she finally said.
“And not all of them are bad,” Justin
said, sitting up straight. “Are they?”
Elizabeth slowly got up off the couch.
“Not all of them are bad, most of them are good,” she said.
“Hey! Where do you think your going?”
Justin asked, pulling her back onto the couch, placing his arms around her
protectively as if he was never going to let her go.
“I got something for you, but I can't
go and get it when you're holding on to me here.”
Justin let her go, but reluctantly.
“Goody, I like surprises.”
Elizabeth disappeared into her bedroom,
then came back out a few minutes later with a wrapped gift. It wasn't big,
but it was something special she picked out especially for him.
She sat back on the loveseat then handed
him the gift. He shot a smile to her before he opened it up. Justin's eyes
glistened with love when he saw what was inside.
Inside was a silver locket, engraved
with a sentiment of her love for him. She didn't know if he liked jewellry,
but she tried anyways getting something that wasn’t too fancy, but meaningful.
Justin picked it up with his hand and
ran his fingers over the engravement.
“It's beautiful.” He was absolutely
speechless. There were no word to describe how much it meant to him. “It's
the most wonderful thing anyone has ever given to me,” he said, leaning over
to give her a quick kiss.
“I don't know if you like this sort
of stuff,” Elizabeth admitted, pulling away from the kiss. “You don't have
to wear it or anything, I just wanted you to know how I feel about you, and
about us.”
“I'm going to wear it,” Justin promised,
pulling her close to him. “I love you,” he whispered into her ear. “So much.”
The words were getting easier for her
to say. Easier for her to believe.
“I love you too,” she said.
