Chapter One

Christina walked in her Orlando high school that she attended, carrying her black purse and her books. She walked down the hall where her locker was and when she reached her locker, she unlocked it and put her books inside.

She looked around after locking it for her boyfriend, Justin Timberlake. Justin was always late for school, but he had called her last night to tell her to be at school early so he could talk to her. It was half an hour till the bell and still no sign of Justin.

She placed her purse over her left shoulder began walking down the hall to Justin's locker to see if he was there. But when she got there, there was no Justin. Christina walked to the front of the school, and there she saw the school's biggest tramp, Missy Carlson. Missy flirted with every guy in school, even if he had a girlfriend.

Christina had seen her flirt with Justin so many times, even when she was around. But Christina wouldn't let her know that it pissed her off. But she knew Justin wouldn't do anything with Missy because he and Christina were best friends and he promised her the world. Besides, he never looked at any other girl but her.

Besides being the sweetest guy she knew, he was also captain of the basketball team, not to mention the most popular guy in school. Christina was head cheerleader along with President of Student's Council and one of the most popular girls in school. Every girl wanted to be her, and every guy wanted to be him.

Christina took a second look and saw Justin talking to Missy. She was running her hands through his blonde curls and smiling at him seductively. Christina immidiately walked over to them and placed an arm around Justin's waist.

Christina kissed his cheek. “Hey, I finally found you.”

“Sorry, I just got here and I ran into Missy. She just finished telling me about her and Rob's break up. He cheated with Carla, can you believe that?” Justin said.

“Oh, I’m so sorry Missy,” Christina said sounding sympathetic.

Oh whatever you tramp. You've cheated on Rob so many times its hard to count. I can't say I’m surprised he finally did it to you, you deserved that and a whole hell of a lot more.

Missy looked at her and pretended to smile. Missy hated her. She hated Christina because she was with Justin when she believed Justin belonged with her.

“Thanks, but I'll be alright,” Missy said. “Rob's a jerk. I know that now and a that he is a player. You're lucky you have Justin, he wouldn't dare cheat on you.”

Until now of course. I don't care what I have to do, Justin will be with me and leave Christina. She can't always have everything she wants.

“I'll see you later Missy,” Justin said taking Christina's hand and they walked off.

Missy got mad when Christina shot her a mean grin. Missy knew Christina knew how she felt about Justin and she did her best to keep Justin away from Missy.

“I can't believe it's Monday morning already.” Joey Fatone groaned as he and his three friends walked the halls.

“I know what you mean,” JC Chasez said yawning. “I never get much sleep the night before school.”

“JC, no matter what day it is, you never get enough sleep,” Lance Bass said laughing as they reached their lockers. Lance opened his and grabbed his math book. He hated math. It was his worst subject.

“I know but still,” JC said opening his locker and getting his music book out. He and Joey had music first period and the other guys had it together in last period.

They all loved music. They loved to sing and they spent a lot of time practicing and writing songs. Lance had recently wrote a song for his girlfriend, Lila, who was also in his music class.

“I hate English!” Chris Kirkpatrick said groaning as he pulled out his English books. He hated English, especially  the teacher. She liked to pick on him. Chris was the humorous one of the class and everyone knew he had a new joke everyday. “Hey guys listen to this one. Why did the chicken cross the road?”

The others turned away from Chris forgetting about his joke when Justin and Christina walked past them.

“God, Justin is so annoying! I don't know how that girl can stand him,” Lance said grabbing his backpack and placing it over his shoulders.

“And such a macho jerk,” Joey added.

They all agreed. They all disliked Justin for many reasons, one being they couldn't stand him. One other reason was because Justin seemed to think he owned the school. Lance hated him the most because Justin always came up to him and called him a loser. But he knew Justin only said that because they weren't popular and only people that were popular did Justin treat with any respect.

They all believed Christina didn't know the real Justin, the competitive one, the mean hearted one, who only cared for himself. The guy who made sure he got everything he wanted. Lance had Justin in all his classes, and he hated it. That's the only part about school he despised, except for math of course.

“Guys, stop worrying about Justin and Christina,” Chris said trying to get their attention back on him. “Doesn't anyone want to hear my joke?”

“No,” they all said at the same time as Lila came up to them.

Lance and Lila were lost in their own little world.

Chris just looked shocked because no one was paying any attention to him.

“They didn't like another one of your jokes, Chris?” Lila asked.

Chris thought his jokes were funny, and so did a few others.

“Don't be hurt, man,” JC said patting Chris's back. “Just think of better ones, and we won't think they're stupid.”

Once again everyone laughed but Chris.

“Did you guys see Missy and Justin this morning? They were making out outside on the picnic table,” Lila said.

The guys faces dropped, they couldn't believe it. Not that they were surprised he would cheat on Christina.

Lance looked at his girlfriend. “What did you say?”

“When I was walking in, I saw them on the picnic table kissing. It was so gross, I could tell they we're about to go further but then they saw Christina's car pull up and then he Missy walked inside,” Lila said.

“She didn't see them?” Joey asked.

“Nope, and I guess he didn't tell her, with the way they looked walking by just now.”

“That's Justin. Come on you guys, you know he's a player. I’m sure Missy isn't the first girl he's kissed since being with Christina,” Chris said closing his locker.

“Chris is right,” Lila said as Lance wrapped his arm over her shoulder.

“Thank you!” Chris exclaimed. Someone has actually agreed with something he said.

“For once,” JC chuckled just as the bell rang. “See you guys later, I got science now.” JC disappeared down the hall to the science wing.

Lance gave Lila one last kiss. “See you later, baby.”

“Come on Lila lets go to English. What fun!” Chris said sarcastically.

Lila and Chris began walking to their English class that they had together. Joey stood still for a moment trying to remember what he had first period, then he looked at his hand and saw his music book. Just as he was walking down the hall, JC pulled him by the arm, dragging him in the other direction.

“We have music you idiot, it's the other way,” JC said.

“I know I just forgot for a moment that's all,” Joey said as they entered the room. He knew the real reason he had forgot. He had got caught up in his fantasy about Christina and couldn't remember even where he was.
