Nexus Events.

Bored with hunting?  Tired of standing around talking?  Rich enough to be tired of raking in the cash?  That is but the tip of the iceberg on nexon.

I am not going to go into specific events, but one of the things that most new players miss are the events that nexus sponsors.  Randomly throughout the year, strange things start happening.  For instance, there were rumors of pirates, and suddenly one weekend the pirates invaded nexus.  You have to be paying attention all the time, or you will completely miss that anything is going on, but if you are paying attention, a lot of strange things go on.

Right now there is an event in the works, I believe for valentines day.  A couple weeks ago, one of the gods named Grin started telling off a god named Kismet, using kingdom wide shouts.  It slowly developed that it was over a woman, but we don't know who yet.

Soon, Grin was yelling DIE! accross the kingdoms, and appearing at different places, letting loose immortal ice beasts that slaughtered many people.  Grin has been jailed a few times for what he is doing, but he is getting more and more out of hand.  It appears this is an event that will grow more and more heated throughout the weekend, and culminate on valentines day.  (It is strictly roleplay on Grin's part and Kismet's as far as I can tell, I cannot imagine one of the gods (the programmers) actually just going beserk on the game over a female co-worker.)

Nexon tends to have events on almost every holiday.  For instance at christmas blue skeletons invaded, and killing them yeilded santa suits and hats for us to wear.  When they decided to change from version 3.0 to version 4.0 the shattering happened, an event that is in Kingdom history and after which the entire face of the kingdoms changed utterly.

This is one of the unique charms of Nexus.  They didn't just write the game and say "now go play and we will sit back and collect our money".  They are always working on the game, making it better, throwing in wierd twists and events, it never settles down.
