ROLEPLAY BLUEPRINTS
by "The Professor"

A strong gimmick alone does not a good roleplay make!

In terms of "normal" RP'ing (ie: not situational RPs and stuff), the
wrestler's gimmick is only the blueprint for the RP. You have a blueprint,
then you use your creativity to build upon that blueprint, while adding your
own flair and pizazz to it. Y'know?

I mean, if you give the same building blueprints to someone else, all of the
buildings won't look exactly the same.

Let's take Skye Ashner, who is about to portray a completely different
character following his Winter Plunderland heel turn. Ryan has legitimate
concerns about being a heel, that he'd be doing the generic "I'm prettier
than you, I'm better than you, blah blah!" stuff.

However, just because his alignment changes, doesn't mean that his creativity
will change.

I mean, the "pretty boy" stuff isn't the roleplay ... It's merely the new
gimmick. A classic blueprint, if you will. If six players were to send in
six Skye Ashner roleplays, they won't be exactly the same. It's the creative
mind that makes all the difference - the bricks that bring the blueprint to
life!

"Creativity is allowing oneself to make mistakes,
Art is knowing which ones to keep." - Scott Adams
