Rotorua and Area:
North Island, New Zealand

Part Two
With the Hansens we visited a Maori 'Marae', the central building of Whakarewarewa village.  The carving is especially impressive.
Our hosts, the Hansens.  If anyone considers going to New Zealand, seek these people out.  They are the most amazing hosts in the entire world!  They really made us feel extremely welcome and showed us a great time in and around Rotorua.  We'll forever remember and appreciate their hospitality.  Thanks again!
Here we are eating corn cooked in the naturally heated water.
Some more Hansens and some more house guests, a couple from Britain.  We were treated to a great afternoon at the Luge tracks, where you get on a little motorless go-cart and race down the hill.
Lots of speed, lots of turns, and the odd crash.  Woo-hoo!
Fun in the kitchen!
