Template method

Yes, We Are All Individuals

Here are 16 templates which cover a wide variety of backgrounds. Any can be bought out of the 60 points for inborn traits & 10 points of learned skills gained up to age 5  (taking disadvantages up to a further 40Pts gives you points to buy advantages and race templates) each can be used "as is" to take a character up to "Testing times" without having to do much more than copy across to a character sheet.  However, in most cases, this will result in an average looking character with no real depth.

 Costs noted assume 5 points of disadvantage not included in the 40 points noted above (IE Choose one of): Edgy, Curious, Chummy, Enemy, Code of Honour, Compulsive behaviour, Light Sleeper, Mistaken ID, Obsession, Sleepwalker, Truthfulness, Minor Vow or Destiny.  A 6pt Dependent may also be taken, granting the extra point, of course  Note that these are mostly "Plot hook" Disadvantages  Please note that no character created from an un-modified template would pass the wizard or preisthood tests.

Each template has a complimentary equipment list. This can either be purchased with character cash, or by paying one point for $500 of equipment. Note that most templates grab-bags don’t HAVE $500 of equipment in them – this allows the character to get some more free stuff to make up the difference.
