Returned to command Nov 25, 1863. Discharged disability. Born in GA Nov 19, 1827

This indenture made and entered into this the Seventeen of February in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & Seventy four between Joseph H. Hobbs of the the State of Georgia an Haralson County of the one part & Judy C. Blackstock of the State of Georgia & County of Haralson of the second part -
Witnesseth that the said J. H. Hobbs for and in consideration of the sum of One hundred and fifty 50 Dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the Receipts thereof is surely acknowledged hath granted bargained sold and conveyed and doth by these presents grant bargain sell unto the said J. C. Blackstock her bodily heirs and assigns all that tract or parcel of land situate lying and being in the twentieth District & third section of Cherokee now Haralson County known and listing wishes by number 1066 One Thousand & Sixty Six in said Dist & county containing forty Acres more or less to have and to hold said tract or parcel of land unto her the said J. C. Blackstock her heirs and assigns together with all and singular the rights
members & appurtenances thereof to the same in any manner belonging to her and their own proper use benefit & behoof forever in fee simple. The said J. H. Hobbs, for himself his heirs Executors and Administrators the said bargained
premises unto the said J. C. Blackstock her heirs and assigns will warrant and forever defend the right & title thereof against themselves and the claims of all other person whatever. In witness whereof the said Joseph H. Hobbs hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day & year above written.
