Visited Robert and Elnora Hobbs in their home on Rock Springs Road in July 2006.
I got a look at the Hobbs Family Bible which is in their possession.  I took pictures which didn't completely turn out that well on most of them.  The bible was printed in 1852 which tells me that Nancy Jones Hobbs or her husband Robert Hobbs Jr. began the bible.

Land at the north end of Hartsfield Airport in Atlanta, Georgia used to be owned by Henry Grady Hobbs.  He was bought out and was the last to move.  They were surveying I-85 which came right to the back porch just before they moved.  Ralph related how it was within inches of the porch.  They remember hunting rabbits in that field, it was woods and field back then.  Now in 2006, it is runways.   Hart Cemetery which is on the west side of the Airport is now protected and a nice entry has been made there, they (I don't know who they are) cleared the cemetery and looks like someone was surveying where the people are buried.  We found Mollie E Hobbs which is a concrete rectangle around her grave with in the cement at the head Grady impressed Mollie E Hobbs.  Next to her is Rev. Jim Phillips which is her brother.  Next to him is H.R Phillips which is Henry Robert Phillips and this is Mollie's and Jim's brother.  Across from them under the magnolia tree was a fieldstone that was standing up that had TJP on it which represents Thomas Jefferson Phillips who is Mollie, Jim and Henry Robert's father.

JJH who the cemetery is named for is James Josiah Hart.  He is the one who brought the Hart's to Atlanta.  He married his 2nd wife Elizabeth Morgan who is sister to our Nancy Charlotte Morgan who married Thomas Jefferson "Jeff" Phillips.  She had 4 children whom many of them and their decendants are buried in Hart Cemetery.  The airport wanted to move the cemetery but were unable to find enough of the family to consent to the move.  I know I corresponded with a Tommie Jones years ago who said that the family caught the airport from taking over the cemetery and making it disappear.
