Details on Voting

You can vote online (Jan 24-29) or by paper ballot (Jan 31). It is not possible to vote for some races online and some by paper ballot -- if you voted in one race online, you will not be issued paper ballots for any race.

Paper ballots will be available 09:00-18:00, January 31, at several locations around campus. It will be necessary for you to swipe your library card in order to obtain a ballot.

Linking to other candidates' sites is forbidden (for fear of slates), but these sites should be available from http://www.ams.ubc.ca/elections/candidates_bog.html

This year, you can also vote on which media outlets did the best job (or will buy you the most beer), with the top 8 winning money. This is being called "Voter-Funded Media", and is a pilot project. It's never been tried before. Contestants include:

• Let them eat cake (Arts, joke)
• Several others without anything much put together yet.

The Ubyssey elected not to enter the VFM contest, but will be covering the election regardless. And they endorsed me.
