Derek's 1997 Jeep XJ

Custom Rear Bumper And Tire Carrier

My friend Brian made the basic rear bumper from 6 x 2 x 1/4" wall rectangular tubing, just like the front bumper. The rear bumper mounts in the stock locations, and is also bolted to the reciever hitch for extra strength. The tire carrier was made by myself and my friends Matt and Sage. I designed the tire carrier myself. It incorporates a beefy latch and a greaseable bearing that uses bronze bushings. The parts list for the tire carrier listed at the bottom of this page.
