Methos is officially the oldest immortal alive, he is five thousand years old.
His date of birth, birthplace, and the way he first died are unknown; even to him.

In order to stay alive and avoid battle against as many immortals as possible,
Methos has another identity; Adam Pierson, the watcher.
Adam's job is to track down Methos, and since he is Methos and
no one else is aware of that, the Methos case will stay hidden.
"I'm in charge of finding myself...and I make sure it never happens."

Methos had married 68 times in his life, however; never to an immortal.
Methos has a sharp sense of humor, and seems to pretty much always know what's going on. He is well known for making all kinds of sarcastic comments.
He was introduced to Duncan MacLeod when Joe Dawson told Duncan to talk to Adam Pierson (the watcher involved in the Methos chronicles) in order to find Methos before Kalas did.
The only ones that know Adam is Methos are Duncan, Joe, Richie, and Amanda.

Peter Michael Wingfield was born September 5, 1962 in Cardiff, Wales, UK.
He attended the Llandaff Cathedral Primary and Upper school. It was an
independant all-boys Anglican Prep school.
At the age of fifteen Peter became a National Trampoline Champion.
Peter developped his love for acting in High School.
Due to his academic excellence in Science, Peter won admission to Oxford University.
Peter studied medicine, and attended the Guildhall school of music and drama in London.
Peter can play the saxaphone and flute, he also enjoys playing soccer.
Peter remarried in 1998. He and his wife Carolyn welcomed their first child Edan Stewart on February 28, 2000.
