S - Survey all headings and pictures in the lesson
Q - Question - turn a section's bold heading into a question
R - Read - read the section
R - Recite - answer your question
R - Review - after reading the whole lesson, verbalize the main ideas. Do you remember any details?
Monday - Chapter 1 Test Tuesday
Tuesday - Test today
Scholastic News (in class) Choose an article; in tablet write a short paragraph stating what amazing new things you learned from that article.
Wednesday- Chapter 2, read and discussed first of lesson 1; sequence events - land bridge and migration to North America. 
Thursday  - classwork - worksheet on coming to the Americas (3 questions) needs to be finished.  Read 40 and 41
Friday -
in tablet, glue vocabulary pictures, write definition from glossary in back of textbook beside each picture; due Wednesday; get test signed.
Social Studies
Science
Monday -   Review notes on tissue, organs, organ systems;  Write in your tablet thoughts about the notes we took on the organ systems
Tuesday - Digestive System, pages 42-43, R4-R5; review; in tablet write your thoughts about the digestive system
Wednesday- Digestive system, took notes in tablet, Assigned one question on worksheet ( Compare and contrast plant root to villi.)
Thursday - digestive system notes and review.
Friday - in tablet, draw and complete graphic organizer on page 45, due Monday; in tabet, make a neat drawing of the digestive system with neatly written labels, use page  R-4 (this drawing is labeled)(you can also look on page 42) due Tuesday.

Unit 8   Test next Tuesday  -
COLLECTED SPELLING WORDS FRIDAY,
Anyone making 80% or lower on the Unit 5 test lost the option of taking the Unit 8 pretest.  For those students, all 20 words are to be written 3 times each.  Unit lesson due next Tue.

Please note:
All spelling tests need to be signed and returned to school; the tests need to be corrected by writting misspelled words 10 times each. This is to be turned in.  Not turning in test and corrections will result in additional spelling work.
