S - Survey all headings and pictures in the lesson

R - Review - after reading the whole lesson, verbalize the main ideas. Do you remember any details?
Monday - Pond water was ready to be observed.  Morning use of microscopes and slides took longer than anticipated.  Had to observe pond water in the afternoon.
Tuesday - IOWA Testing continues.  Checked vocabulary words.  Review sheet for Ch 1, Lesson 2 -- complete questions #1 and #2, if possible #6,7,8,9.  (Time will be given for 6-9 in class )  Chapter 1 Test next week
Wednesday- IOWA Testing continues
Almanac Practice - 1st page completed in class ( back tomorrow in class)
Worksheet from yesterday, Add ques. 4 and 5

Thursday  - IOWA Testing- All three classes - completed questions in class; 204 and 202 Complete Bar Graph at home
Friday -
205 worked on Almanac graphing (to finish) -- * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Test over Ch 1 - Tuesday
Complete the 29 review questions over the weekend (some class time given today) - If you can not answer some (5 or 6) bring them to class Monday for help.  Use the Lesson Tests to help with some of the answers.  Just don't forget to work on them.

Science
Monday - With microscopes, observed paramecium and amoeba slides. Drawings need to be completed of these protists.  With microscopes, observed living protists in pond water.  Complete drawings of pond water observations (living paramecium).   
Tuesday - IOWA Testing continues. 
In Science tablet - Took notes comparing paramecium and amoeba. 
Two questions to answer in tablet.
(1) Describe what you saw when you observed pond water with the microscope.
(2) Compare an amoeba and a paramecium (How are they alike and how are they different?)  Use the notes we wrote down in class. 
Wednesday- IOWA Testing - collected signed  science tests
Thursday - IOWA Testing
Friday - i/2 day

Unit 7 this week. 
Anyone making 80% or lower on the Unit 5 test lost the option of taking the Unit 7 pretest.  For those students, all 20 words are to be written 3 times each.  Pretest will be given on Wednesday.  Pages 44  -  48. -- Homework master 7 due Tuesday
Please note:
All spelling tests need to be signed and returned to school; the tests need to be corrected by writting misspelled words 10 times each. This is to be turned in.  Not turning in test and corrections will result in additional spelling work.
