Jean Yves Catroux was born in Saint Bireuc, France and attended the Sorbonne, the Universite Paris, and the University of Cambridge. A phenom in the academic world, Jean holds a Ph.D. in both archaeology and linguistics. With extensive field experience all over the world, Jean is no stranger to harsh climes or difficult terrain. With a knowledge of Egyptology and other ancient cultures second to none (save for Dr. Daniels), Jean was given a position on SG-3.
