History:
Cal'tur grew up on Chulak and spent most of his life secretly questioning the worship of Apothis after his Father Hara'c was executed publicly after coming back through the Stargate after a failed mission. Why did a God need an Army if he could just crush his enemies with his will? Why would a God murder his own people? Cal'tur and his family (his mother Cinel and sister Yulanna) were banished to the camps and Cal'tur worked twice as hard as everyone else his own age so he could regain his family's honour.
He grew tall and strong under the tutelage of Master Bra'tac training in the hand to hand combat and the use of the Staff Weapon and the Zat'n'ktel. Cal'tur participated in many missions as one of Master Bra'tac's best soldiers. Over time Bra'tac showed young Cal'tur the truth about their false God and introduced him to those who were opposed to the worship of Apothis. A few months after Teal'c was publicly declared a shol'vah, Cal'tur was given a small group of loyal Jaffa and together they escaped Chulak and went in search of the missing Teal'c.
A few weeks later in a pitched battle with Apothis's Jaffa on another planet Cal'tur was hit and went down, lost in the confusion of the firefight. Apothis's forces left after thinking they had killed everyone. Cal'tur's prim'tah had only begun to heal his near-fatal wounds when SG-1 gated to the planet and found him crawling towards the Stargate.
Teal'c recognized Bra'tac's young student and after a quick interrogation of the barely conscious Cal'tur they took him back to the SGC where he recovered from his wounds. Cal'tur learned of the SGC's mission and vowed to help the Tau'ri in any way possible. He was eventually assigned to SG-3.
Personality:
Cal'tur is more hot-headed and vocal than most Jaffa due to his early hatred of Apothis and his years of careful tutelage under Bra'tac. Other than that, he is like most honourable Jaffa; He is intense and loyal and does not consider his personal safety when his friends are in danger. He is usually quiet and reserved unless the time is for action. He is like a warrior monk.
