Some quick notes: 

  • Unless otherwise stated, 'Manga' refers to HK/ Taiwanese translations of Japanese Manga collections. Music is often Taiwanese imprints of Japanese titles.
  • This list focuses on shops which specialise in Anime and related merchandise. The number of VCD shops selling Anime VCDs is staggering. However, they are not included because their selection is almost identical and they don't carry unfamiliar or 'niche' type titles.
  • Most shopping centres aren't that big so the majority of shops are not hard to find. Access directions are given for shops that may be out of the way.
  • I don't have business hours for all the shops yet. Typically business hours are 11am-8pm. If you have info about a particular shop, please e-mail me.

Manga, Chinese Comics, Trading Cards, Kits, Anime, Posters, 
Action figures		 An islandwide chain of Manga stores which also sell plastic kits. Manga are HK & Taiwanese translations of Japanese compilations. Also sells small amount of Anime. Pokemon and other trading card games are also sold here. One of the cheapest places to get Bandai kits, often 20% off the department store price.

HMV
Music, Anime, DVDs Largest selection of imported (i.e. expensive) Japanese Anime music and J-Pop. Occasionally sells the Taiwanese imprints. The Heeren branch has redone its DVD section on the 3rd floor and is offering Cowboy Bebop Session #5 for $61. Conceivably they could order any other Anime DVD that can pass BFC censorship. Another branch inside Citylink underground mall. Both branches have small selection of Anime VCDs.
