R A C E S
Below is a list of all the diffrent races in Athe Dragonball universe along with a description of each.
Android/Cyborgs
This isnt really a race, rather an invention created by Dr. Gero. There are three types of andriods, each with diffrent strengths and weaknesses.
Mechanical - These androids are purly mechanical, they are controled by a small microchip.
Example: android #13,14,15, and 16
Energy Absorbent - These are a much weaker form of android, still purly mechanical, though can increase in strength and energy at a moments notice. These androids absorb energy by using special devices embeded in their palm.
Example: android #19 and 20
Artificial Human - This form of android was once human, but has been taken by Dr. Gero and transformed into an android. They retain some of their memories they had before, but not many. This form of android has an unlimited amount of energy, but as a downfall to this, they can not get much stronger.
Example: Android #17 and 18
Animals
Many diffrent animals have appeared throught the Dragonball world, two more well known ones include: Oolong and Purar. Though many animals are very weak, some feature unique abilities like shape shifting.
Arlia-jin
The arlia-jins resemble huminoid cockroaches. They are not very strong, and are very primitive. Very few have managed to learn to harness their Ki.
Freezen
A race originating from an unknown planet, the most popular character of this race is: Freiza (AKA Freezer). The Freezens have the ability to control the amount of ki contained in their body by transforming themselves to a lower or higher organism.
Demon
This is a race that exists mostly in the afterlife in Hell. Though some are in the living world. The leader in one of the many dimentions they exsist in is: Dabura. Demons can also be created, the most famous of this kind of demon is: Majin Buu.
Dragons
The dragons are the Namek gods, and can be summoned by using the Dragon Balls. Two dragans have been known to excist like this: Shenlong (Earth Dragon Balls) and Porunga (Namek Dragon Balls). Though their have been many other dragons or variations of the previously stated dragons (i.e. the evil Shenlong). There were a group of evil Dragons created from a massive build up of negative energy in the Dragon Balls (a small amount is created when a wish is made), this created seven evil Dragons, each of a diffrent element.
Genie
These creatures are introduced throughout Dragonball, but the most famous is Mr. Popo. He is a very peaceful character, and never really realeases his energy, so it was unkown. The genies would ride around in carpets, but did not have the ability to grant wishes, but they gave insight on the situations that were involved through Dragonball.
Humans
What needs to be said? They are Human, just like you and me.... With the exception of a few, they are extremly weak in the Dragonball world.
Kaio
The lowest form of god (could be considered demi-gods). They live in the afterlife (though they are living) and train the strongest fighters of their region with special moves known only be them. There are four Kaios in excistance, one for each reagion (North, South, East, West) and a leader (Dai Kaio).
Kaioshin
A higher form of god. They are rarly seen, let alone heard about. There were originally five, one for each reagion and a leader: Dai Kaioshin. Though, all with the exception of East, were wiped out/absorbed by Majin Buu.
Kanassa-jin
This is a race of fish like beings. Though this race ios fairly weak, they have the ability to both read mindsa and see the future. The Kanassa-jins were wiped out by Bardock and his crew.
Konat-jin
This race was seperated into two groups: warrior and priest. On their hime planet, a monser called Heildgarn was unleashed and the planets strongest warriors defeated it using mystical weapons. These warriors were: Tapion and Minoshia.
Makyo-jins
This is race usally has skin whith a blueish tone to it. When a member of this race comes near the planet known as the Makyo Star, they strength doubles, and continue to grow the longer they are near the planet.
Majin
This was a small race that were wizards. Only two were known to exist: Bibidi and Babidi. They chose to use magic over ki, though they tend to be extremly weak (can even be killed by a Human).
 
Nameks
Are the race that created the Dragonballs. These green aliens are a peaceful race and are mostly healers, with a few warriors (though they are rare). The Nameks have the ability to regenerate any part of their body, except their head. Though this causes an emmense amount of pain. Nameks also have the ability to stretch out their limbs. Some Nameks (like Slug) have been able to expan their entire body, making them grow to massive sizes.
Saibaman
These creatures are a form of plant. They are planeted in the ground and after pouring a special liquid on the seeds, imediatly grow into battle ready fighters. Saibamen arnt very smart, and have extremly small brains, though they have a decent power level and will follow orders very well.
Saiya-jins
One of the strongest races in the Dragonball universe. They have the ability to, using their tail, transform into an ape like creature known as an Oozaru. Saiya-jins also have the abilty, through their emotions, to transform into whats known as a Super Saiya-jin. Saiya-jin's strength is focused in their tail, and if lost, will weaken the Saiya-jin dramatically. Saiya-jins are a barbaric race and are not very smart, though have amazing fighting abilities.
Shamo-jins
This is a race with very small people. The beings in this race were enslaved by Brolli and Paragus and were used to build the planet New Vegeta-sei.
 
Tsuforo-jins
The Tsuforo-jins were the race that originally occupied Planet Vegeta-sei. These creatures resemble Humans, but have advance in technaligy far greater than any other race in exsistance. With the exception of a few (Bebi and Dr. Riachi), this race was completly wiped out. Their leader (now known as Bebi) was bioenginered and now has the ability to take over the bodies of other beings.
Yardrat-jins
Not much is known about this race, though they are very intelegent and know several extremly rare techiniqes, such as the ability to teleport.
