The Sayains are a breed of powerful fighters from the planet Vegeta. They look just like humans except for one distinct thing, their tails. Yes, Sayains have tails. Their tails are a source of their unbelievable powers, but can also be a weakness. If a Sayain gets his tail grabbed, he loses all of his power and is paralyzed and is at mercy to whoever has a firm grip on their tail. The Sayains' home planet Vegeta was destroyed by Freeza (or as most of the Sayains believe, an asteroid) and only five Sayains remained. These Sayains were out exterminated other life on planets when Vegeta was destoryed. The names of the five Sayains that survived were Kakaroit (AKA Goku), Raddiz (Goku's brother), Vegeta (the prince of all Sayains), Nappa (Vegeta's bodyguard), and Brolly (the legendary Super Sayain). All Sayains have black hair and as soon as a Sayain is born, he/she keeps his/her hairstyle until death. These rules does not apply to half-Sayains, quarter-Sayains, and so on and so forth. A half-Sayain or a quarter-Sayain will share the same haircolor as one of their parents and also, their hair will continue to grow and those Sayains will probably need a haircut. The last unique abillity is that the closer to death that the Sayain gets, the more powerful he/she becomes once he/she is healed. |

The Oozaru form of an Sayain is the large monkey form seen in the Sayain Saga, and many times in the Dragon Ball GT Series (Golden Oozaru). This form of a Sayain can only be achieved if the Sayain still has their tail intact, and they are exposed to a full moon, the Sayain will transform into the Oozaru form. The Oozaru is a large monkey with a power level that is 10 times greater the Sayain's oringal power. The Oozaru extremely large, and is virtually unstoppable due to his awesome power. Very few Sayains ever reach this form in the anime. They are Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, and (of course) the legendary Super Sayain: Brolly. |

Once a Sayain has a huge amount of power (to be exact 100,000) they will be ready to advance into the next form of a Sayain: A Super Sayain.
Once this happens, that Sayain must become very angry. Once these conditions are met, a golden light will surround the being and they will have reached the level. If a Sayain becomes a Super Sayain, their fighting power, speed, and ki will max out, making an unbeatable warrior. You can tell a Sayain has gone Super because their normal hairstyle will stick straight up and no matter what color the Sayain's hair is, it will turn golden. After their first transformation to a Super Sayain, the Sayain will have used a lot of strength to transform. But, after transforming many times, the required strength to transform will gradually decrease. Legend has it that there is no stronger being than a Super Sayain in battle. But this is not exactly true. All of the main Sayains reach this stage, include\ing: Goku, Gohan, Vegeta, Miara No Trunks (Future Trunks), Chibi Trunks (Little/Present Time Trunks) Brolly, and Goten. |
