                    Close Encounters of the Third Kind

While Bulma, Krillin, and Gohan are doing everything they can to find the Dragon Balls, Vegeta meets up with an old classmate named Kwi (Qu-e). Kwi attacks Vegeta with a huge assult of ki blasts but Vegeta is untouched. Shocked, Kwi tries to attack again, but is interupted Vegeta powering up.

     Miles away from the fight Freeza and his two strongest henchmen Zarbon (Zar-bon) and Dordoia (Dor-do-a) are using their scanners to track the battle. When Dordoia targets Vegeta with his scanner it blows up because of Vegeta's power level is rising so rapidly that the scanner can't track it and gets confused, thus blows up. Zarbon then targets Vegeta after he finishes powering up and corfirms that Vegeta's power level is 23,000. Freeza smirks though.

       Back in the fight Kwi looks on in awe. Vegeta stands there laughing, then Kwi tries to run away. Without even trying Vegeta intercepts Kwi with a ki blast and destroys him.

       Bulma and the others have found 2 of the Dragon Balls. They know Freeza has four other Dragon Balls and there is still one more out there, they come to the conclusion that it is hopeless. But Vegeta, unknowingly, is working for them.

        Vegeta and Dordoia face off a few miles away from Freeza's spaceship. Dordoia knows he can beat Vegeta so he gives Vegeta a little information about how planet Vegeta was destroyed. Freeza killed Vegeta's father as well as Goku's father then destroyed planet Vegeta, killing everyone but a few Sayains; Raddiz, Nappa, Goku, and Vegeta, who were all away at the time. Hearing this Vegeta goes into a rage and his power level increases more to around 26,000. Vegeta then kills Dordoia rather painfully. Outraged, Vegeta flies off, horrified that Freeza was the one who destroyed his home planet and his father.

         Before Dordoia was eliminated by Vegeta, he had gathered many of the Dragonballs and killed many Namekians for fun. Gohan and Krillin try to stop most of the slaughters, but they arrive too late most of the time. Then Vegeta comes and takes Krillin's Dragon Ball and knocks him out. Then Zarbon (Freeza's last and strongest henchman) comes onto the scene, looking for the Dragon Ball. Gohan, Bulma, and Krillin run. Zarbon is about to go after them but then seeing that Vegeta has a Dragon Ball, he stays. Vegeta and Zarbon face off, matched in strength and speed. After a while both fighters are out of breath, but Vegeta can still go on. Zarbon sees this and has no choice but to transform in his alter-ego. This monster version of Zarbon freaks Vegeta out, but Vegeta goes right in and attacks Zarbon. Vegeta notices that he only has a power level of 27,370 and this new form of Zarbon has the power level of 32,000. Vegeta fights on though, but is starting to get weary. Zarbon laughs and then pummels Vegeta blow after blow until Vegeta gets knocked out. Zarbon transforms back into his regular self and takes Vegeta for questioning and Krillin's Dragon Ball.

        1 hour has passed and Vegeta is in the recuperation tank and is healed. Freeza and Zarbon are coming up the hallway to question him. Vegeta then senses this and breaks out of the recuperation chamber and gets on a new outfit and blast a hole in the wall. Hearing this, Freeza and Zarbon run into the recuperation room, but Vegeta is not there.

        On the other side of Freeza's ship Vegeta is laughing hystericaly and grabs all of Freeza's Dragon Balls and Krillin's Dragon Ball and throws them to the ends of the earth (er... Namek). Then Vegeta flys off just as Freeza and Zarbon arrive on the ship. Vegeta then clams that he has 6 of the Dragon Balls (the one Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin couldn't find, Vegeta had hiden at the bottom of the ocean). Freeza is furious and Zarbon takes off to follow Vegeta.
