If a saiyans power level is high enough, it usually takes extreme anger to give it that extra boost, they can go super saiyan. When they go SSJ (SSJ is the abreviation for Super Saiyan Jin) there hair turns yellow and there eyes turn green. There power level is increased a lot and so do all there other attributes. Goku was the first character to go SSJ, he was then able to beat Freeza. They usually go SSJ by getting very angry.
There are also many stages to SSJ. The first stage is just when their hair turns yellow amd stands up and thier eyes turn green.
The second stage is about the same but their hair gets a little longer and their strength increases.
The third stage is when their hair goes down to their waist and their muscles bulge a lot. The eye-brows seem to disapear too.
The Fourth stage is when their hair turns black and gets shorter. They get more hair on the body and the hair turns red.
There are other stages like 5 and 6 or more. But im not going to go into that. But stage 5 is when their hair turns white and it gets kinda wierd after that.
