The only fully agraffed design in an upright at this price, similar to a Bechstein, but rumored to have a Bosendorfer scale.

There really are a handful of upright pianos out there with some characteristics that can rival the best grand pianos and these are some of them.

In the top left picture, I'm playing a PETROF 126 50" upright piano that feels and sounds so much like a grand, in these wonderfully prepared pianos that it was a little shocking. This was not the only place I discovered this shock either, but these pianos really sounded good and played very well.

In the next pictures below it, I'm playing a very enjoyable WEINBACH piano which is made by Petrof and inside is practically identical. There were a small number of these made that seemed destined for bars and clubs. If you can live with the case, you can have quite a piano. They are competitively priced too.

The bottom picture features a blonde "continental" style Petrof upright, (the same style as the Weinbach), which was being sold at a significant discount, an excellent piano. By the way, the continental style is perfectly balanced and makes getting in and out from behind a piano much easier than with other styles.
