I have designed this website to have a simple and clean appearance with easy navigation, whether you are a first time computer user or a seasoned web surfer. To accomplish this, I have used a common layout with a clearly visible navigation bar at the top of each page with buttons that can lead the user to any of the other pages at will and a details section with company contact info. I have also included links within the text (the portion of text that is highlighted and underlined in the color blue) on certain pages to lead the user to information relevant to the topic that they are currently viewing. For example, please check out the Services page to see what types of work I do. There is also a handy price guide there for your convenience. If you can any questions, please feel free to send me a message directly through the Contact Me page.
Most of all, I have maintained consistency in design. You will notice that the text sizes are all uniform, as are the colors and the locations of objects on each page. Rather than changing the appearance and functionality between pages, I decided that it was best not to make changes because of the clientelle who will view this site on the regular. Perhaps the largest market for computer repair are senior citizens who lack the type of knowledge necessary to perform the work on their own. These individuals usually looks for simplicity and they like things to seem straightforward to help them make decisions. With the help of the afforementioned tools and some others such as simple and easy to read tables, a basic video player with very few complicated controls, and a font family that is able to be used across many generations of internet browsers and operating systems, I believe that my current design has accomplished this goal.
However, there is always room for improvement. I would like to find newer ways to arrange text on the page so that it maintains its usefulness but has a better appearance. Functionality is not really the issue with my work. Most of the issues are in the area of beautification. I am confident that I will be able to add jsut about any content that I wish to the site but I have a log journey ahead of me before I can create a website that looks as good on screen as it does in my head.
