About Us

The Don Bosco Makati Scouting Unit is a registered unit of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines, Makati City Council with Don Bosco Technical Institute Makati as Sponsoring Institution. Membership of Scouts from KAB to Senior Scouting Progam are strong at 93 members while adult leaders that include members of the Institutional Scouting Committee are 10 lay leaders/scouters.

We are composed of Kawan Number 537, Boy Scout Troop 228, and Senior Scout Outfit 227. The KAB scout kawan is composed of boys 7-10 years old while the Boy Scout Troop has members of ages 8-12. Senior Scout Outfit 227 has 13-17 year old Senior Scouts.

The Unit is active in Local Council, Regional, National, and International Scouting Events. Recently, the unit sent delegates to the 20th World Scout Jamboree. Advancement is also strong in the unit because the scouts are undergoing continuous training for citizenship, sel-reliance, and service to others.

Numerous achievements are part of the unit's tradition to Scouting Excellence. some of them to mention are the production of National Winners for the Search for the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines (TOBS), the long list of Eagle, Citizen and Jose Rizal Scout Awardees, Scout Representatives to the Council, Regional, and National Executive Boards, and most of all, present servant leaders in the public and private sectors, including in the Church.
