Here I am at the Houstonian Lite....lol..it was actually 18.6 miles.   In the beginning it was near freezing..but by the time you run 3 or 4 miles....it is not a bad idea to shed some clothes....I even thought about taking off the shirt...cause at the end..you are putting out a great deal of heat energy.
I finished in the top 3rd of runners...at under 2 hours and 43 minutes.

They call the race a "lite" because it is only 2/3 of a marathon.  It was one of the toughest races I've done.

My Running Adventures ...
One of my favorite triathlons is held in Beaumont and called BOOMTOWN.  It even has a trail run.
Houston 2000! My good friend Mike ran much of the way with me. It was a very exciting event to run a marathon.  Follow my weekly schedule as it unfolds...
BACK TO START
Started running about 5 summers ago to lose weight. Changed my diet to leave behind burgers, fries, and fried chicken at the same time.  It is very hard in America not to eat fast food, or to eat at home.
I need to buy stock in soy products, having consumed so much in the last couple of years. What is your diet?  Do you believe like me that we are what we eat?
