"ASC Dream Concert"
Yours Truly has recently sang at the Asian Student Conference's "I Dream of Asia" concert. The funny thing is that I sang a song about Texas... so much for Dreaming about Asia. I sang the song "All my Exes live in Texas" by George Strait. I was last up on stage and believe me, it was really 'Best of Last'. Everyone loved me! Here are some pictures.

More to come!

WSU's Pre-Med Student Association (PSA)

Yours truly has recently been elected secretary of the Pre-Med Student Association here at Wichita State. As the secretary, I take notes and keep track of events, and then post them on the webpage. You can visit the PSA's Website here at WuDoc.org.

Ashley is not featured.

We've recently had an officer meeting at Barnes and Noble. The club has been dying away for the past few years so we're trying to bring it back up. We'll be having a bake sale on June 9, 2006 in Alhberg Hall. Come support!!

[UPDATE: David has been promoted to president of the Pre-Med Student Association at WSU as of December 2006]

ASC's "Asia's Most Wanted" Concert

I've recently performed in the Asian Student Conference's "Asia's Most Wanted Concert". In the concert, there was a Miss-ster Asia Pageant where guys dressed up like women and do a beauty pageant and there were dances and skits.

What did I do? I sang with my friend, Diana Le. We sung the Aladdin song "A Whole New World". We practiced for about 2 weeks. In the end, I guess we did okay. The song was basically a little too high for Diana's voice. But it was a great performance. She did wonderfully! Take a look at some pictures below!

Practicing... Those clothes!! It's Christmas!

"Hey! I'm right behind you!"

Give us a round of applause!

My Disney Store Adventure

So on Spring Break, when I was out with my friends, I applied at the Disney Store. Two weeks later, they called me for a group interview. And that interview was absolutely fantastic! That night, the interviewer, Pat, called and asked me to return for a second interview with the store manager.

The following day, I came for my second interview, but because of slow traffic, the store manager, Diana, hasn't arrived. I waited for about an hour and a half and got acquainted with some of the other interviewees. Pat placed an apron over my head and asked me to pass out some flyers. So I was working there before I even got hired!! Anyway, the second interview went by very well also! I was very pleased.

Me laying comfortably on top a mountain of stuffed animals

Then there were the reference checks! What a hassle!! No one wanted to pick up their phones!! The store called me; I called them. Why on earth were my references giving me such a hard time? I gave them a whole sheet for cryin' out loud!! Nothing?? So days passed and I was going nuts!

By Thursday, I kind of gave up. Obviously they're not hiring me. Then around 7:20PM, Pat called and said "Would you like to work for us?" and I gladly accepted. I even told her that I went nuts and we laughed hysterically. After hanging up, I got on my knees and thanked God. I love this place! Well, that's the story of how I got my job at the Disney Store! Friday, I fill out my paperwork and start working. :)
