Coach Paul Welytok
became involved with Wayland-Cohocton
   Wrestling in 1983 as the Modified Coach. He moved to Junior Varsity in
  1984 until 1988. In 1989 Paul took over the Varsity Program and
continued Jv or Varsity until 1999. Paul's 16 years with the program
certainly left there mark as Wayland-Cohocton accumulated 19 LCAA
County Champions, 15 Sectional Champions, 4 State Medalists and a
     State Champion during this period. Known for his technical ability as
  well as his physical techniques, Paul raised the level of wrestling ability
at Wayland-Cohocton. As a wrestler, Paul won the New York State
145 lb.Wrestling Championship with the New York State Police,
his primary employer. Coach Welytok was highly respected and led
