-N- Da Zone is a play about the life experience of a young street minister's confrontation and victory in the fierce 'hood of Harlem, New York. It is the ultimate play of faith, hope and charity. A play about overcoming against all odds through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Unlike many of Hollywood's false stereotypes, this play is a true story. The names have been changed to protect the innocent, but the flava remains strong. Harlem: if you can make it there you can make it anywhere!

The Zone Crew Mission

To bring awareness to drug addiction in an atmosphere of love, support and understanding, done in a very entertaining fashion. This play is a true success story about the individuals who have overcome their addiction through God and prayer so let us represent them well.

We are a special task force of actors, techs, musicians, etc., who have combined our gifts and talents to bring relief in a suffering world.

The bottom line is that we desire to love. We are on a mission with a vision.

Director's Note

This play is a documentary on crack and the effects that it can have on an entire community. Crack is a very lethal drug and it takes no prisoners. It is like a wildfire spreading across our nation burning out of control and destroying everything in its path. As a street minister I have witnessed firsthand the effects of it. I have seen many families destroyed by it, many innocent people killed by it, many children robbed of their parents by it, many women lose their dignity over it, many young men and women put in jail by it, many professional people lose their careers because of it and many users and dealers murdered by it.

Crack is just one of many drug addictions in our world today. this play is not just about crack, but it's about the struggle of life for all mankind. Crack boldly boasts that, "I am unstoppable, unbeatable, and untouchable". But I do believe that with God all things are possible and if by doing this play we can save one person from the effects of it, then truly we have accomplished our task of being In The Zone!!!
