FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE 2005-06
You can enter as many teams as you like, each team costing £3 to enter, but places will allocated to as many people as possible.
This may result in one or more of your additional entries being declined.
If entering more than one team, each team must have at least 3 differences to all other teams entered by the same individual.
There will be prize money for high league positions and the fantasy football league cup.
Your squad must consist of 16 players, of which, the first 11 players will be considered your 1st team unless otherwise informed.
You can only pick one player from any one Premiership team, apart from two teams from which you may pick two players.
Eg. 2 Arsenal players, 2 from Man Utd and one from any of the others.
Your substitute goalkeeper must be the only player from his club unless both your goalkeepers are from the same club.
Players must be chosen in their relevant positions.
Eg. Ashley Cole as left back, Sol Campbell as a centre back, Alan Shearer as a forward.
Players with more than one position maybe selected in any position that they are able to play in.
My decision on a player’s position is final.
You must pick at least one substitute for each area of the pitch.
Eg. 1 goalkeeper, 1 defender, 1 midfielder, 1 forward and
one extra defender, midfielder or forward.
Permitted formations are 4-3-3, 4-4-2, and 3-4-3. You cannot play 4 forwards in your starting 11.
If you are playing three defenders then they can either be 3 CB’s or 1 RB, 1 LB and 1 CB. You cannot mix them
A players club will be the club that he is registered to on September 1st 2005. He will be considered a player of that club for team selection purposes throughout the whole of the fantasy football season.
There will be two ‘transfer windows’ when you will be able to transfer in or out players. Each transfer will cost £1 and squad selection rules must still be observed.
1st Window: Tuesday 11th October – Monday 7th November 2005
2nd Window: Tuesday 14th February – Monday 6th March 2006
A fantasy football game week will run Tuesday to Tuesday and may be played over two weeks if the Premier league is interrupted by internationals.
This means that if a team has a match on Tuesday or Wednesday, and then plays at the weekend, both games will be included in the fantasy football game week.
Each team will play every other team in their division home and away. The team scoring the most goals will win the match.
You can change your starting 11 anytime during the game week, as long as no Premier league games have kicked off. This will not be classed as a substitution.
You can substitute up to 4 players any time during the week, except when Premier league games are taking place. Please remember though, that once a player has been substituted, he cannot be put back in the 1st 11 players in the same game week,
If a player becomes injured or suspended, it is your responsibility to replace him in your team. I will do my best to keep everybody informed as to the status of their players, but it is up to you to confirm changes with me.
I will endeavour to produce an updated league table and results sheet every Tuesday, but please remember that this can be time consuming and may sometimes take longer.
The closing date for entry is Friday 9th September 2005. This gives you a few weeks to consider the form of players before finalising your entry.
NB: For the following rules, a goalkeeper is considered part of the defence.
Teams will be awarded 3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw, and nothing for losing.
If two or more of your defenders real life clubs keep a clean sheet, you will receive 1 bonus point for each defender above two. This can only be awarded once in any game week.
Eg. 4 defenders with clean sheets and you will be awarded 2 bonus points.
If your team does not concede a goal, then you will gain 1 bonus point.
If your team scores 6 goals or more in a game, you will receive 1 bonus point.
If one of your players scores a hat-trick, you will be awarded 1 bonus point.
If any of your players receive a red card, you will lose 1 point for each red card. This will be shown in the penalty-points column of the league table.
