The city has roamed free from any strict alliance for a long time.  Unfortunately, there were a lot of "unexplained" events that continually began to happen.  Most of the Anarchs fled the city after strong investigations proved too much for the campaign of the unaligned.  A few, small groups of Anarchs, however, remained behind--small enough in numbers to move underneath the radar of sweeping investigators.

The Camarilla took notice of the city's hardships and sudden lack of a strong kindred presence.  And after a long deliberation in Virginia, it was decided that Dayton would be the next Camarilla investment.  Placed at a pivotal cross point between I-70, I-75 and I-71, the Greater Dayton area could benefit the Camarilla greatly by controlling the traffic as well as the city.  Another important reason for claiming the city came from the fact that the Sabbat controlled Columbus area would seek Dayton's possession if they did not.

Perhaps owning Dayton would give the Camarilla a chance to sever the Sabbat's connections to the South and West.  Any remaining kindred in Dayton were to be contacted by any means available and given the chance to remain in the city under strict Camarilla rules or peacefully relocate to another Anarch owned city... such as San Francisco.

    The Prince's Decree

There are two Elysiums for the city: The Dominion Suites, a private sector hotel; and Club Echo, a nightclub located near Dayton's FirthThird Field.  The Dominion Suites is currently undergoing security renovations in order to better accommodate and protect its guests.
