American Songs
I titled this page American Songs ,, but I believe that this page ,, these
songs
are for anyone who believes in democracy ,, the pursuit of happiness ,,
the freedom to live our lives as we see fit without tresspassing on others.
Ive seen things in the past month that I never thought I would see in my
lifetime
things that I had hoped my children would never have to see in theirs ,,
however with the evil, horror and shock also comes a sense of pride, goodness
and mercy.
Along with these horrible acts of terror that we've seen ,,
we've also seen people come together in a time of need
and stand together ,, like never before.
Standing against those who thought they could take us down ,,
but completely missed the point.
These people ,, these terrorists ,, have proved that they can
take out our buildings ,, our people ,, but what they will never get ,,
the most important thing of all ,,
is the american spirit ,, and american pride.

In light of yesterdays tragedy
Id like to offer my prayers and well wishes
to those left behind
,, my sorrow at the loss of thousands
of innocent lives ,,
my contempt at the senseless attack of violence
perpetrated on all of us who live and breathe
and stand by the idea of democracy.
I know in my heart that as a nation we will rebuild ,,
we will go on ,, we will not be taken down.
We are forever changed,
but will be stronger for the wear.
