Waiting List: A non-refundable deposit of $25 will place you on a waiting list for a puppy out of a future planned breeding. This deposit will be applied to the purchase price. Once puppies are whelped, then a deposit of half the purchase price (minus the waiting list deposit) is due by the time the puppy is three (3) weeks of age. After that time if no deposit is received, then the puppy will be taken off hold. All terms and conditions under the deposit for puppy's section do apply. This applies to future puppies.  The Puppies section below is for information on puppies already whelped. Signing of our Deposit Contract is required.

Puppies: A payment of half the purchase price of the puppy will reserve that puppy until he/she is ready to leave Daybrightener Kennels' facilities. Puppies are typically ready between 7 to 12 weeks of age. If a puppy is to be shipped, then that puppy must be a minimum of 8 weeks of age. If for any reason the puppy suffers an untimely death or becomes unavailable from unforeseen factors, while at the kennel, the payment will be fully refunded or the purchaser has the choice of another available puppy of that litter or any other litter at that time (of equal value). Payments are non-refundable. If the purchaser breaks the deposit or sales contract for any, but not limited to, the following reasons, the payment will be kept by Daybrightener Kennels as a breach of contract penalty:

1. Purchaser no longer wants to purchase the puppy on hold or no longer wishes to purchase a puppy from Daybrightener Kennels for any reason.
2. Puppy is not paid for in full by 8 weeks and/or not picked up/shipped by 12 weeks of age (unless the seller and purchaser have made other arrangement in writing or Daybrightener Kennels has notified the purchaser that the puppy will not be ready to leave the kennel at that age). Any delay in shipping a puppy due to weather restrictions is not a breach of contract.

Adults and Adoptions: A payment of half the purchase price (adoption fee in the case of rescues and adoptions) will hold that dog for a period of four (4) weeks while the purchaser makes arrangements to pick up or ship the dog. If the purchaser no longer wishes to purchase the reserved dog for any reason or the dog is not paid for in full and picked up/shipped within four (4) weeks from the payment date, the dog will be taken off reserve and the payment will be retained by Daybrightener Kennels as a breach of contract penalty (unless seller and purchaser have agreed to a later pickup or shipping date in writing). Any delay in the shipping of a dog due to weather restrictions is not a breach of contract.
