My name is Dawn McBride. I have recently started a campaign in support of Canadaian Soilders, called OPERATION RED FRIDAY. The objective of OPERATION RED FRIDAY is to show support for our soilders and their famillies.
On each friday we wear something red showing our support and commitment for helping our soilders and their family. We are aslo accepting donations of personal care items and other small items to help remind them of home. We are working to make yellow lapel ribbons, have donation boxes set up in stores, and keeping in touch with family members to give support in there time of uncertanty.
ORF started with an email circulating among friends. We need your help in spreading the word so that we can bring OPERATION RED FRIDAY to all of Canada. Next is a copy of the email that started this sea of red in our country.
Very soon you will see a great many people wearing red every Friday. The reason? Canadaians who support our troops used to be called :the silent majority". We no are no longer silent, and our voicing our love for GOD, coutry and home in record breaking numbers. We are not organized, boisterus,or over-bearing. We get no liberal media coverage on TV, to reflect our message, or our opinions. Many Canadaians, like you and me and all our friends, simply want to recognize that the vast majority of Canada supports our troops. Our  showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity and respect starts this friday, and continues each and every friday until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that...Every red-blooded Canadian who supports our men and women afar will wear something red.
By word of mouth, press, tv--let's make Canada on every friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the bleachers. If everyone who loves this country will share this with aquaintances, co-workers, friends and family. It will not be long before Canada is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the once "silent majority" is on their side more then ever, certainly more then the media lets on. The first thing a soilders says when asked "what can we do to make things better for you?" is We need your support and your prayers.
Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and wear something red every friday.
I took this email as a challenge to bring patrionisum back into our great country. Wether you support why our soilders are overseas or not, supporting them and their familliesin this time is all that I am asking. These are our young men and women, putting thier life in the line of fire to save another. They need our support just  as much as we one day may need theres.
