About MS
How I see that it works.
A simple way for me to tell you about what MS. My body immune system is on overdrive. It attacks the body's own tissue, mistaking it for a foreign invader.
If you think of a cable cord. The immune system attacks the myelin, that would be like the black coating of the cable. When the wire of the cable is open that is when the MS sent the wrongs messages to my brain. I get numb spots or a list of things, I have been told it could be up to 81 different thing can happen. 10 years ago when there was NO treatments for MS. That I know of. I lost 50% of my eye sight in both eyes, and I also lost the feeling from my waist down. I could move my legs but I could not feel them. When I was in the hospital put a needle in my legs down to the bone, and not to feel it was just a little weird. My body healed it self. The only thing I feel that was left was, when I am in the shower I would have an arm up on the wall to make sure that I did not fall. At that time I had only one Doctor who said maybe it could be MS. But I would have to have a few attacks and lots of test before they would even think it could be MS.
I was dark to me.
Then January 03 of 2003. I went into the hospital with a headache from hell. I will say I know what a 10 is. I was begging them to knock me out I was in so much pain. But I had a great Doctor that I have been going to for year. So when the headache started going away I realized that my feet where numb. I know the MS was back. Told my Doc and he sent me to a great Doctor of the Maxine Mesinger MS Clinic. I had a Diagnosed by February 10.
Thing now were so different the Doctor wanted me to start on one of four meds that are out now to help with the Ms.
