Our Mission Statement:
DAWG volunteers are committed to providing loving high quality care
to lost and abandoned dogs while actively seeking appropriate,
permanent homes for each of them.
What happens to these dogs? With the support of the comunity, DAWG volunteers provide a safe and loving environment for our dogs awaiting permanent adoption and promote adoption through outreach programs.
Most dogs are adopted within 3 weeksSince DAWG's inception in 1991, we have worked hard to bring out the best in our dogs and improve the quality of life for them during their stay at the Shelter. In order to place healthy, clean, well-behaved dogs back in our community, we are continually expanding our Shelter's facility.
Most of the dogs in our care come from the county shelter.  DAWG's goal is to reduce the rate of euthanasia in the county's Shelter by providing the medical care and training many dogs need for a second chance at life.
