Technical background
By trade I am a mechanical engineer but with a broad multi-disciplinary work background spanning several diverse industries. 20+ year experience in both the private and public sectors with particular focus on R & D, Design and Innovation, Advanced Product Design and Engineering.
Present duties: Senior Project Leader and Manager in the R & D dept. of Whirlpool Europe. I work on joint R & D and Engineering assignments, including cooking and washing projects, worldwide.
Peculiar work experience includes: Innovation and Design, Innovation Mentoring (I am also an internal Innovation mentor), University student tutoring and supervision, managing cross-functional and global product development teams, Freelance writer, Product Life Testing, Industrial Design and Concept car prototyping, Supplier support and liaison, Italian Gas Commission (CIG) technical member.
I am also chairperson and one of the founders of the Open University Students Association for Northern Italy.
