| 3-11 Gather round sportsfans its TIME FOR THE WEEKEND UPDATE!!! For those of you new to this subscription, this is the time of the week when I get to pretend for several fleeting minutes that I am important. This is where I tell everybody who will take the time to read this email what is going on in my life so I dont have to recite the same stories over and over again whenever I find the time to yap at yall individually. I dont remember Monday odd but Teusday morning I woke up with that feeling that this is NOT gonna a good day. You all know what im talking about; when you just know that things are gonna suck. My intuition was proven wrong however, as we had a fascinating discussion in honors sociology over a box of grahamcrackers. I then proceeded to write a paper for expos one in under an hour, go to class and then leave immediately 20 mintes later. That night was a big night it was our first ultimate frisbee game of this year! Attendance was a little thin, but that is to be expected I suppose. It was still an awesome time, highlighted by the fact that we all remember how to play (mostly). I am pumped for this season! Despite my experience Tuesday morning, Wednesday WAS in fact, a rather horrible day. I will not bore you all with the details, but I do feel it important to point out that it ended on a very positive note. That night was the first exam in my ballroom dance class. I dont mean to brag but Lindsay and I TORE it UP. No joke, we were stone-cold cha-cha killaz. The night was topped off when we went out to the parking lot to find that the battery in Lindsays car was dead (Q): how many fraternity boys does it take to jump start an Isuzu? (A): just one, but when the Isuzu belongs to a cute girl you get EIGHT! (insert laughter here, hahahahaha) Thursday was spent polishing up papers and then running at the rec. Thursday night I remembered that I had a project due the next day for my theater design class so I ran out to the sand volleyball courts to get a cup of sand and then to quickcats to buy a quart of vegetable oil. The lady at quickcats thought I was weird, im sure, but then again who is going to argue with her? I had quite a fun time playing mad scientist. The project is currently sitting on my desk and if you are curious and have the means feel free to drop by and gawk. Friday morning I went to theater design as usual, but then I broke out of my regular pattern and actually went to my poly sci class. Yeah, I know, very strange I thought so too. I fought sleep off all hour, but in the end I had to be woken up by Prof Unekis voice saying Ill see you on Monday!. yeah, right professor whatever you say. Friday night I went and took the cha-cha test again with another partner, Sarah. We didnt do nearly as well as Wednesdays performance, but it was by no means bad and we had a blast doing it. Friday night was movie night, as usual, and the movie of the week was Liar, Liar. Next time it is going to be Armegeddon even if we have to duct-tape Ashleys eyes open and sit on her to prevent her from running out of the room. Saturday night was great: Derek, Alex, and I went to a debate in McCain titled Christian Monotheism vs. Secualr Humanism. This was certainly the best debate I have heard in a long, long time. I dont think that I will go into detail, because I know that too many of you are hard-core Christians or Materialists to appreciate the summary I could give in a weekend update, however I would love to tell any of yall about it some other time. You all know me and how much I love discussions. After the debate, we had some people over and sat around mindlessly until about 5 AM when I finally submitted to the mysterious force known to some as sleep. Sunday was one of those completely worthless days. I made a Taco Bell (or Tacobell, as some would prefer) run at about one, sat around for a while in a state of half-consciousness until 5, and then made an Arbys run. Sunday night we watched the Fellowship of The Rings. Yes, I know that the DVD doesnt come out until August no, I do not know where this copy came from no, I am sure that it is not legal, but we didnt ask questios: yoink first, ask questions MUCH later. There you have it, I am sorry that I keep getting later and later with my weekend updates, but my creativity is wearing thin. Spring break will be refreshing, and I hope to come back fully re-energized and ready to astound you all with witty abstractions of my weekly endeavors. I look forward to seeing all the o-town crew over the break, as well as some of you non-KSU big, bad college types. To Fink and Aaron: I hope you are having a BLAST in Cancun and Japan respectively. Next time take me with you ya PUNKS! Until next time, kids keep finding trouble and try to squeeze some fun in there with it when ya can! -powerdave, the official dave of the Olympic games |
