| 2-19 yes, yes, i know that it is no longer the weekend, but i was busy- so this will have to suffice as your "Dave Plumb Weekend Update." this is time where dave gets to write about himself, pretending that he is important (that's "important", NOT "impotent") on the (false?) assumption that bored people, such as yourself faithful reader, will sacrifice precious time from their busy schedules to check in on our hero. well has been quite the week. i was up until 3 or 4 in the morning monday through wednesday doing work. i had a very interesting homework experience in the form of an assignment in my theater design class: a had to draw stuff. yes, lest you think your eyes deceive you, i did, in fact say that i produced some form of 2-dimensional artwork. i, dave, who has great trouble drawing such items as trees, doggies and candy-canes. as unbelievable as it may sound, i got an a+ on the project, but just the same you definitely should not waste your time looking for my exhibit in the Nelson anytime soon. the running has continued, and only a few short hours ago i completed a 6 mile run with a time of 53:54. this running is really great: im feeling good, my appetite has tripled, and i have more energy than i have in a long time, but i am still way behind schedule for this summer's race and i will be very glad when i can say to people, "i RAN a marathon" rather than the current, "i am GOING to run a marathon!" i got in trouble with Professor Unekis this week... AGAIN... he apparently has this BIG problem with me napping in his class. if it weren't for derek sitting next to me and elbowing me when i start to drop off, i dont know how i would make it through U.S. Politics at all. i honestly think that it is an interesting class, and i do enjoy his lectures, but there is something about that room, or maybe that time of day... i dont know but he's getting rather moody about it so i'll have to find a way to change my habits. this weekend was a metric butt-load of fun, as usual. friday night after dancing was movie night with dave and derek. by our best guess, we had about 12 people in our dorm room i think. this is not quite a record, but as you all can imagine space was at a premium. saturday was spent mostly asleep or at the rec. saturday night i went bowling with a bunch of people and then we made plans for the upcoming shooting of our premiere move, "The Phantom of The Derb." Saturday night, the ignoramus across the hall decided to play with the fire alarm at 3:22 in the morning. i have not been that confused or angry in a long time. he will get what is coming to him. sunday was fun i guess... it is late and i really cannot remember what i did all day yesterday. hmmm... it was probably something along the lines of saving a kitten from a tree or writing a Pulitzer-worthy sonnet... or maybe sleeping. the entertainment of the week came from Ashley, one of the West girls. apparently, someone had informed her last week that "cow-tipping" (if you dont know what that is, ask a real midwesterner... communist!) causes the cow to die. this, of course, is preposterous and "udderly" false (HAHAHAHAHAHA), but Ashley, in an effort to appear informed, insisted that she knew this. well, the facade was kept up all week i guess until someone slipped this weekend, but we are all having a wonderful time "moo-ing" at Ashley and have even coined a new term: "IBS" or "Inverted Bovine Syndrome". it is late, i still have homework, i am tired, thank you for indulging me if you made it this far. goodnight. -DaveTwo |
