To get to the screens below, open up iWatchr and select the "Bonus" tab, choose the "Formula" button in the upper right hand corner.
If you don't really care about how the formula works and just want to get it working like it used to then you can ignore the following information under the screenshot. Just make sure that when you select the formula button in the Bonus Calculator, your screen matches the second screenshot below...(the one after the blue arrow). Just select on the row you need to edit and it will bring you to a screen where you can change the values. Hit the "done" button when you have finished to save the formula. You're done!! You never have to do this again!!
If you do want to learn how configuring the formula works because you plan on tweaking the formula a bit then continue reading and you should have no problems!
The formula the Bonus calculator is based on is BodyWeight x Time x .000232 for a Light workoutBodyWeight x Time x .000327 for a Moderate workout BodyWeight x Time x .0008077 for a Heavy workout. If you have the formula itself in front of you and you compare it to the screenshot then it's pretty self explanatory how it works. The reason there is a "X 1" after Body Weight and Time is because iWatchr needs to have something entered there. The fields cannot be left empty. Body Weight and Time both don't calculate against anything first before being calculated against each other like in the other formulas so therefore we put the "X 1" because any number X 1 is equal to that number so it's like the "X 1" is not even there If you have read one of the other Calculator tutorials, there are no "parenthesis" here, it's just Body Weight X Time X ???. If the formula was something like ((Body Weight / ??) + (Time / ??) X ?? then it would be different. The Body Weight line would read "Body Weight / ??". Follow?
This "X 1" theory can be applied to the other calculators too. Say in the European calculator, you want to useCalories + (Sat.Fat / 4.12) instead of ((Calories / 66) + (Sat.Fat / 4.12)), then everything would be the same except the first line. That would read "Calories X 1" instead of "Calories / 66". Follow??
If you just used the formula used in the screenshot and didn't tweak it at all, then you can test it out if you'd like to see that it is working correctly like it always has....HERE
