News
July 17th: Protest Monsanto! DAA will be staging a march from the Department of Agriculture to the Monsanto building (Across from the community gardens) at 12:00 on the seventeenth to demand reparations to the Vietnamese people for the use of Agent Orange during the Vietnam War.
June 28:In response to the City Council's termination, of the Human Relations Commission, the only body which monitors the Davis Police Department, we will be working with others to form Davis CopWatch. CopWatch is a method of "policing the police;" that is, we'll be monitoring police activity, in an attempt to ensure accountability to our community, and to reduce police violence. We need to pick up where the HRC left off, and make sure Davis police don't abuse their power. If you have any camera/filming equiptment you'd like to let us borrow or donate, email us and we'll talk.
June 22:Ruth Asmundson now using police to squash debate on Target. Read this article on Indybay to hear about it.
June 8: The Davis City Council is going to vote on whether or not to approve the new Target on June 13th. To read a few reasons why we don't like this, please see this article from KnowMore.org. Please voice your opposition to the new construction.
Literature: Got any radical pamphlets, zines, books, or other bits of literature lying around? Feel like donating them to us? Email us and we'll talk.
