Links

Here are some other web sites that may be of interest to new, current and prospective students of the LHCMAI. These contain information about Northern Shaolin and Choy Lay Fut, Lai Hung, his kung fu masters, and some of his students. Note: Inclusion of these links do not constitute an endorsement by the Lai Hung Chinese Martial Arts Institute. They are for information and entertainment only.

Evolving Body Mind Kung Fu Academy
There is information about the Northern Shaolin style, with phonetic transliterations in Cantonese. One of the grandmasters of this school is Wong Jack Man, who fought Bruce Lee in the famous challenge match in Oakland's Chinatown that was falsely dramatized in the movie Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story.

Stonelion Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Association
Located in Canada. They teach Northern Shaolin kung fu and trace their lineage back four generations to Gu Yu Jeung, who is our Si Jou (great grandmaster or three generations). There is excellent historical information on Master Gu, who was renown for his Iron Palm and Iron Body techniques. He was one of the founding members of the Nanking Central Institute, a governmental agency set up in the 1920s to catalog and consolidate all Chinese martial arts.

Bei Shaolin Health Club
There is information about the Northern Shaolin style, with phonetic translations in Mandarin.

Chan Family Choy Lee Fut
The website of the Sydney, Australia school that is run by the direct descendent of one of the principal ancestors of the style, Chan Heung. Sifu Chan Yong Fa is regarded by the international Choy Lay Fut family as the 'keeper of the style' who is the legitimate heir to all of the family documents and is responsible for propagating the official history and form of the style. This a rarity amongst styles practiced today.

Wing Lam Enterprises
An online store that has some interesting merchandise. Kwong Wing Lam is a master of Ha Say Fu and Canton style Hung Gar kung fu. He also spent six years studying Northern Shaolin from Master Yim Sheung Mou, who was a fellow student of Lung Ji Yeung (who was Lai Hung's Northern Shaolin teacher) - this makes Master Yim the 'sibak' of Lai Sifu (i.e., 'kung fu uncle').
