This website was built to showcase an ecommerce version of a BBQ equipment and spice store. Not only was the website built to highlight the products and spices online but also to encourage customers to come to the physical store. In order to do this there are products that showcase what is online and what is in stores. Further more descriptions and call to actions are prevelant throughout the website.
This website was made to be pleasing to the eye but also to be symmetrical and consistent throught the website. The use of red and black kept the theme the same. The use of any other color was to go along with a specific products scheme. Furthermore, the use of red and black was made to appeal to a more male crowd because they are the higher amount of population that smokes meats. Furthermore, the website is easy to navigate and has a consistent layout so as to not confuse users.
Improvements to the website would include a shopping cart, a menu button, a checkout area, and more products. Currently, I did not have the time to figure out how to add a shopping cart, checkout area, or menu button. Furthermore, adding the amount of products in a brick and morter store would take a huge amount of time. Overall, I believe that these are the good bones of a good website.
