Thomas Longfellow was born 1724 and remains unproven 5th child of William and Elizabeth (Ringgold)Longfellow. I believe that he was a brother to Joseph Longfellow and records can be found to substantiate him. Thomas married sometime around 1745 too an unknown wife and they had at least 6 children as found from probate records of Thomas Longfellow in Kent,Delaware:
1)Susannah Longfellow b. abt 1747 in Queen Annes County,Md and she married to Nathaniel Knotts and they had at least one Absalom Knotts. 2)James Longfellow abt 1749 3)Gideon Longfellow b. abt 1750 4)Hannah b. abt 1751 and she married Esaias ? Riggs uncertain about his first name.5)Deannah b. abt 1753 and she married to Peter Jeffers. 6)Arnold b. abt 1755 in Queen Annes County,Md
Thomas Longfellow died 1796 in Murderkill, Kent, Delaware and his probate can be found for the year 1797. There is also a final disbursement of his that can be found in 1803 that shows payments going out to his children.
