first wife Emily Francis Murrow and their spouses. Also Pictured
is the two son's of William Allen Longfellow and Viola Mae (Stewart) Longfellow, Orville Leroy, and Carroll Robert. Also with Martha's child Mildred Lucille Clough. This picture was taken about 1905.
Robert Longfellow was born 21 Dec 1852 in Millport,Knox,Missouri.
He was the 6th child of 9 of Jonathan @ Martha (McClamrock) Longfellow.
Emily Francis Murrow was born on 26 Feb 1852 in Millport,Knox,Missouri the daughter of Nicholas Wallingford Murrow jr. born 22 Aug 1813 Mason, KY and Hester Ann Owens born
17 Jan 1822 in Mason, KY.
Robert and Emily were married on 8 Feb 1872 in Knox, Missouri and they had 4 children:
1) Eva May b.11 Nov 1872 in Millport,Knox,Missouri.2)William Allen b.17 Nov 1874 in Millport,Knox,Missouri. 3)Martha Ann b. 1 Aug 1877 Millport,Knox,Missouri. 4)Mary Alice b.16 Sep 1879 Millprot, Knox,Missouri.
After the death of his wife Emily Francis in 1880, Robert decided to move to Elk Falls, Elk, Kansas where his father had moved and started a lumber mill.
On 5 Apr 1885 Robert remarried to Hetty Mary Gildart and they had Carl W. Longfellow 2 Apr 1896. After Carl's enlistment he married to a Marie Morgan in 1919. Carl died 27 May 1921 in Elk Falls, Kansas.Robert Longfellow lived to the age of almost 90 dying 6 Mar 1942 in Elk Falls,
