Mary Jane Longfellow was the 3rd dau. and 6th child of 7 of John Longfellow and his second wife Elizabeth Stephen(s). Mary Jane Longfellow was born the 11th or 12 of May 1832 and on 30 Nov 1854 in Hamilton she married Barton S. James. Barton and Mary Jane had William Barton James on 26 Aug 1865.
