Elijah Longfellow was the second child of only two of John Longfellow and Nancy(?). Elijah was born 25 Aug 1817 in Hamilton,Butler,Ohio. He married Frances (Fanny) Stevens on 5 Nov
1840 in Butler,Ohio. They had 5 children: 1)Sarah Jane born 1842 in Hamilton,Butler,Ohio. She later married with Jonathan Sallee on 26 Apr 1866 in Knox,Mo. Elijah and Fanny moved to Millport,Knox,Missouri with Jonathan his brother and his family in 1843. Elijah and Fanny had their second child 2)Margaret Elizabeth in 1844 in Knox,Mo. 3)Jonathan Longfellow Jonathan J. Longfellow b.22 Oct 1846 married to Emily Ann March 2 Jan 1868 in Knox,Missouri 4)Susan J. b.1855 and 5)Allen Longfellow born 16 Feb 1857. Allen married Sarah Emily Morrison on 17 Feb 1884 in Knox,Mo. Frances (Stevens) Longfellow must have died in 1857 after the birth of Allen. Elijah remarried to Sibba Jane (McWilliams)or(Carson)yet unknown to me abt 1858/1859 probably in Knox,Mo. and they had 5 children: 1)William Longfellow b.1860 Knox,Mo. 2)Emma L. b.18 Jan 1862 and she married Thomas L. Eden 28 Aug 1883 in Knox,Mo. and they had Orval H. Eden. 3)Mary M. Longfellow b.24 Apr 1864.
4)Sherman b.1866 and 5)Ida May b.10 Feb 1869.

16 Nov 1890 in Knox,Mo. and they had 4 children: 1)
Russell H. Forquer b. 1897 in Rutledge,Knox,Mo. 2)Naomi Gertrude Forquer
b. 11 Nov 1900 and she married
Ernest Gibbs 3 Jan 1925 and they had Russell Leo, and James Bruce Gibbs.3)Imogene
M. Forquer b.abt
1902 and she married a Mr. Farwell and they lived in Chanute,Kansas.4)Hazel Longfellow born abt 1905 and she married a Mr. Salter and they lived in Kansas City,Missouri.
