A Multitude of Miracles |
| All
thy works shall praise thee, O Lord; and thy saints shall bless thee. They
shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; to make
known to the sons of men His mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His
kingdom. Psalm
145:10-12

| We have all heard the statement "Count your blessings". In this testimony, instead of counting blessings, I would like to count miracles. People often ask "Are miracles for today"? I know they are and I’m about to tell you the many miracles that happened to me in just one day! That day was May 31, 2001. |

| already sleeping again. In order to get back in the house, I had to bang on the outside of the where our bed is to wake Yvette. She quickly came to the back door to see what was going on. I told her I forgot my keys and locked myself out. She had a concerned look on her face and asked me if everything was O.K. I said yes, I just forgot my keys. I got my keys and kissed her bye again. She once again asked me if everything was O.K. Again I said yes. (MIRACLE TWO). | house next

| The weather was rainy that day. The roads were wet (MIRACLE FOUR) but not raining at that time. Traffic was heavy and it was difficult to make a left turn out of the driveway, so I decided to turn right and go a different route. On my way to the bank, I approached an intersection. |
|
|
I noticed a truck at the right crossing. This truck appeared as if it was going to go across the intersection crossing my path. I slowed down and changed lanes to see what the truck would do. He then stopped, partially in the right lane, just past the stop sign in his lane. I felt certain he saw me and stopped to wait for me to pass. Just as I approached the intersection, keeping my eye on the truck, I saw something on the left. Before I could do anything, there was a white car coming from the left. The truck then also pulled out. I was traveling about 40 MPH and almost in the intersection. I immediately slammed my brakes. With the road being wet, the car slid like if I never touched the brakes. The next half second seemed like minutes. I knew I was going to hit. No way to avoid it. I also knew that at the speed I was going, it would be a hard hit. I looked down at my steering wheel waiting for the air bag to deploy upon impact. I wondered if I would be hurt and how bad it would be. Would I have cuts, broken bones or what. I wondered what was about to happen to the other person or persons. You may ask, "How can you think about all these things in less than a second"? I'm not sure either, but all this did go through my mind in an instant. Then suddenly, BANG! It happened. We hit. |

| The noise was a sharp, loud sound of metal bending and parts flying. Then silence. I found myself with my eyes closed. Then the reality started to come. I then heard a noise from my car. I realized my engine was still running, but making a noise. So I opened my eyes and reached for my keys and turned off my engine. I looked around to see what had happened. I was a little dizzy and out of breath. The excitement triggered an asthma attack. Other than that, I seemed to be O.K. The air bag did not deploy. (MIRACLE FIVE). The front of my car was smashed fairly bad. It ended up costing over $4,800 to repair. The person from the other car came over to see if I was O.K. That meant that he wasn't hurt. (MIRACLE SIX). |

By this time it was starting to rain again. The fire department was the first to arrive. They checked out my car and disconnected the battery to prevent it from starting a fire. One of the firemen asked it I wanted them to call anyone. I gave them my home number and asked them to tell my wife what had happened and to meet me at the hospital. They put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital to check me out because of the dizziness and breathing problem. I checked out fine. (MIRACLE SEVEN). After awhile the dizziness went away and my breathing returned to normal. I was released and went home. It took a month to get my car fixed. During that time, the insurance company provided us with a rental. It was a nicer car than ours. (MIRACLE EIGHT). My car was four years old at the time. MY paint was very dull and in bad shape. The repair shop completely restored the old paint to match the new paint from the repaired front end. (MIRACLE NINE). The wreck did not cost me anything. The other person's insurance paid everything with no problems. (MIRACLE TEN). |
|
| This
entire incident opened my eyes to several things. One being that we don't
know when our time is up. I could have easily been killed in the wreck.
We
may not have time to say, "I'll get right with God" before it's
our time to go. We need to be right now and always. We don't know when our
time will be up. It can be in an instant when you least expect it.
This
time I was spared.
Now this brings me to the point of explaining each miracle I listed.
