Ferdinand R. Hoisington was born in Morgan county, Ohio, May 20, 1843 and departed this life November 29, 1922 at  the home of his son William in Guysville.  Aged 79 years, five months and 29 days. 
On October 2, 1861 he was untied in marriage to Susan Elizabeth McCulough. To the union was born twelve children, eight sons and four daughters.  Three sons Frank, Charles, George and one daughter Fannie have preceded him in death.  The wife died May 17, 1922.
On the sixth of August 1862 he was enlisted in the army to serve three years or so during the war.  He was a good soldier, always to be found at the place of duty, participating in all the engagements and lined and performing faithful and meritorious service.  He received an honorable discharge on the tenth day of June, 1865 by reason of close of the war.
At the age of 52 he was converted and untied with the M. E. church and later he transferred his membership to the Hebbardsville Presbyterian church of which church was a member at the time of his death.
He leaves to mourn their loss; eight children, William of Guysville, Silas and Fred of Athens, John of near Albany; Harry of  Fisher; Mrs. Lydia Wires of Cleveland; Mrs. Jennie Robinson of Circle Hill and Mrs. Rebecca Wale of Toledo.  Thirty-nine grandchildren and a number of greatgrandchildren.  He also reared a grandson Dewey Porter Hoisington who gave his life for his country during the second world war.

Fisher.  May 17- Mrs. F. R. Hoisington died Tuesday night at 11 o'clock at her home here at the age of 78 years.  Dropsy was the cause of death.  Her husband who survives is in helpless condition at the family home with paralysis.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Cumberland church at Hebbardsville and interment will be in the West Union Street cemetery.
Mrs. Hoisington was born in WV but has been a resident of Athens county since early youth and of Fisher for the past 15 years.

June 14th 1922 Susan Hoisington

In the stillness of the night when all was at rest, death entered our home and took from our midst a loved one to that eternal home where no night will ever come.
Susan Elizabeth daughter of Andrew Wilson and Ruth Foreman McColloch, was born in Ohio county, West Virginia, September 1st, 1843, departed this life May 16, 1922, at the age of 78 years six months and 15 days.  She was the last of a family of ten to pass away. At the age of six months she moved in the southeastern part of Ohio with her parents where she has since made her home.
She was united in marriage to Ferdinand R. Hoisington, October 1861.  To this union twelve children grew to manhood and womanhood with families of their own.  Three sons Frank, Charles, George and one daughter Fannie have preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her loss her aged husband, who is in serious condition, having suffered a stroke of paralysis, and eight children William of Guysville, Silas of near Fisher, John of Albany, Fred of Athens, Harry at home, Mrs. Lydia Wires of Cleveland, Mrs. Jennie Robinson of Circle Hill and Mrs. Rebecca Wale of Toledo.  Thirty six grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
She also reared a grandson Dewey Porter Hoisington who gave his life for his country in the World War.
She was reared a Methodist early in life uniting with the church, later taking her membership to the Presbyterian church of Hebbardsville where she was a member at the time of her death.  To those who were with her at the last she expressed her desire to be taken home to her savior where she would meet and be with those who had gone before.
She was a kind and affectionate mother, a good neighbor and when her health would permit she was always ready to share the sorrow of others ( unreadable to the end of the article)

Jennie Hoisington Robinson's brother Charles Hoisington died May 5, 1921, it says he was the father of Dewey Porter Hosington that died in WW of pnuemonia in France. It says he was married to Blanche Six. Then second wife was Miss Wessie Davis. He had been an invalid for many years. Jennie's brother George Hoisington died Aug. 4, 1921, died of a stroke of paralysis. He left a son Ray Hoisington of Fisher; two daughters Mrs. William Wright of New York City, and Mrs. Charles De Molet Jr. of Athens. He had been a nigh watchmen for ten years at the F. C. Stedman Company, he was a member of the Eagles and Red Men in which lodge he was very prominent.

Jennie's brother William H. Hoisington died 1-21-1944 had children Mrs. Mary Foreman of New Marshfield, , Mr. J. R. Hoisington of Columbus, Ohio; Mr. Harvey Hoisington of North Dakota; Mrs. J. E. combs, Nelsonville; Mrs. Joe Niggemeyer of Lancaster; Mrs. E. J. Becker of Canal Winchester;
