David McAllanAge 23Date of Birth 20/6/80 Bithplace Edinburgh Marital Status Engaged to Lynn Eye Colour Brown Hair Colour Changeable Career HistoryIn 1996 David won an individual event at the Linlithgow Conference League track shortly after respresenting Scotland in the British Under 21 Semi finals aged only 15! From there David caught the eyes of Berwick promoter Mike Hope who signed the young hopeful for their conference league return. The following year he went one step further in the British Under 21 Championship reaching the final. After a sucessful year in the conference league David stepped up to the main Berwick Premier League team in 1998 moving to Newcastle Mid-season. A winter move to Edinburgh was marred by injury when David's 1999 season was cut short at Swindon with knee ligament damage. After successful knee recontsruction surgery David misseed the start of the 2000 Season but was soon snapped up by Stoke. After only four meetings David was dealt a shattering blow at the Isle of Wight when he fractured a vertebrae in his spine. David's career restarted back at Berwick in 2001 under the promotion of Peter Waite but was dropped in a team strenghting exercise despite a good start to the season. After several guest appearances he was on his way to Workington where he completed the season. The 2002 season brought a fresh start when Glasgow signed him on a full transfer from parent club Edinburgh. An injury free season saw David increase his average and earn a place in the Glasgow 2003 Lineup. After a good 2003 Season with an average of 4.89 David was unable to secure a Premier Team place in 2004. After short discussions with several Conference league teams David committed to the Boston outfit. Just prior to the start of the season David was honoured to accept the role of Captian of the 2004 Boston Barracuda Braves. During the 2004 Season David rode with the Boston outfit until a call from parent club Glasgow, where David then transfered to until the end of the season. Because of the rule of averages he could not double down with the Barracuda Braves, and left the confrence club David said" It's sad that I have to leave Boston I've made a lot of good freinds there and the Team spirit was second to none. Boston is the small club with the big heart and I will remain in touch with the squad." David came into the Glasgow squad and completed the season with 11 oficial matches. During the last match of the season David was asked to Captin the Scotland Confrence Squad versus the under 21 GB side at Armadale in September. Although the first attempt was called off. the second attempt was also to no avail ending in both David & Ben Willson (the Sheiffield Man.) on the injured list ending the 2004 season. |
