One of the few parts of camp that was open at any time was the Remembrance Tent. Inside, riders and crew could write anything they wanted about why they were involved with the AIDSRide. Some wrote long entries about lost loved ones; one of the most touching dedications simply said, "Thank you, You are riding for me."
The Mess Hall tent, set up just the same as the day before. You can't quite see them, but the sky is covering over with rain clouds--not a good sign!
Inside the tent. Look at all the chairs! This is looking toward the food/drink tents; I'm standing at the stage where riders heard nightly announcements from crew and staff and also some entertainment after dinner.
The only reason I could keep riding was for the talent of Mishka, who massaged countless riders for three days. She showed me good stretches for my knees. I had never experienced knee problems, but she reassured me that sudden inflamation was common for riders.
