| Not everyone used a traditional bicycle for the AIDSRide. Some used recumbent or tandem bikes, by choice or necessity--not every rider had use of his or her legs. |

| Above and below: I couldn't believe how close we were to the front of the line! Only the Positive Pedalers were before us. Here I am (Jeff and me, below) ahead of about 2,000 riders lining up on Constitution Avenue. This is right before we rode onto the Mall. Yes, we all wore long-sleeve shirts. |
